which trusted trader

Once we started receiving more enquiries based on the positive reviews our clients had posted on Trusted Traders (without us even knowing!), we decided to contact Which? and find out how we could become a Which Trusted Trader.

Which? is the largest consumer body in the UK, it exists to promote informed consumer choice in the purchase of goods and services by testing products, highlighting inferior products or services, raising awareness of consumer rights and offering independent advice. When customers see the Which? Trusted Traders’ logo, they know they’re buying from a business that they can count on.

Not just anyone can become endorsed. The assessment process includes: credit report, customer satisfaction check, business procedures examination, interview and assessment. Having passed all these checks, the trader is able to choose to join the scheme, agreeing to abide by the terms and conditions, code of conduct and pay the membership fees.

After we applied to become a Which Trusted Trader, a representative visited our premises and spent time looking into our business to be sure that we operate in the correct manner for them to be able to endorse us. This involved us supplying both domestic and trade references, checking our insurances were in place, that our health and safety process was in order. They spent time discussing with us how our business runs on a day to day basis.

We passed all the required tests and were excited to become one of the official Which Trusted Traders members! After being accepted, we were supplied marketing materials and ‘review cards’ to leave with our clients after our installations are completed.

Becoming a Which Trusted Trader has been highly successful for our business, we have a large number of enquiries coming in as a result of clients finding us on their website. We have also created a link on our own site enabling clients to access our official page and read our reviews or leave their own.
